Dr. Longxing Wei, professor, received a PhD in linguistics from the University of South Carolina. His research interests include second language acquisition, interlanguage, the bilingual mental lexicon, bilingualism, psycholinguistics, cognitive linguistics, contact linguistics and stylistics. He teaches courses including Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics, Research Design in Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Advanced Structure of American English, Languages in Contact, Cognitive Linguistics, Current Theories of Second Language Acquisition, Bilingualism and Translation Theory.
