Personal profile
University profile
Dr. Vaibhav Anu is assistant professor of Computer Science at Montclair State University, and co-directs the Software Systems lab at the Center for Computing and Information Science.
Dr. Anu is interested in software development planning, analysis, and management, and particularly in improving software quality by improving the processes and practices involved in software development. His research applies an interdisciplinary approach to various phases of the software development process. His research on human factors that impact software design focuses specifically on bringing a Cognitive Psychology style interpretation to how intentions and biases can be encoded into software design artifacts and the final software product itself. Dr. Anu has also applied machine learning and data mining techniques to textual datasets containing software requirements, software inspection reports, and software security and vulnerability data.
The objective of his doctoral project was to integrate Software Engineering and Cognitive Psychology research, with the goal of developing human cognition based methods for improving software process/product quality.
