A multiphoton system that allows simultaneous multiphoton imaging and 3D optical stimulation

Narrative Cell type-specific simultaneous two-photon imaging and circuit-specific optogenetic stimulation provides critical information about brain function in time and space. Acquisition of a multiphoton microscope with a 3D optical stimulation system will immediately empower NIMH-funded researchers on the Rutgers New Brunswick campuses. The instrument will play a critical role in promoting new discoveries in neuroscience and devising novel therapeutics for treating mental disorders.
