Agrochemical Impacts On Human And Environmental Health: Mechanisms And Mitigation

Project Details

Description

We are exposing the African-clawed frog to a range of atrazine doses (0, 1, 5, 20, 60 and 120 g/L atrazine) over its entire larval period (hatching to tail resorption). To assess gonadal structure, the gonad-kidney-adrenal complex is dissected, and then evaluated grossly and histologically for changes. To calculate changes in testosterone and corticosterone (as a stress marker), we will perform whole-body radioimmunoassay (RIA)
