Project Details
Description
Companies that produce biopesticide products (registrants) will partner with grower groups, such as those participating in the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP), and university researchers, in the development of project proposals that are competitively selected. Researchers or registrants will submit efficacy/product performance data supporting their product, as well as an explanation of risk reduction potential of their product versus conventional pesticide alternatives. This information will be used in the selection process, ranking proposals that meet the shared goals of EPA and USDA to encourage the use of biopesticides and other reduced risk products as effective pest management tools in agricultural productions systems.
