Abstract

The instance of hydrogen bonding in the rare dimeric acid-to-ketone mode was investigated. A conformation involving partial staggering of rings and aggregates was observed in the compound [Fe(C6H5O2)(C7H7O)]. Close intermolecular contacts were also observed to the two carboxyl O atoms.
