Abstract
A new approach to teaching statics to the engineering students was discussed. The students enrolled in the statics go to the class and take minimal notes by giving their full attention to watching and listening by a video-oriented approach. The process is accomplised by having the diagrams of the materials covered in the lecture available for download from course web-site. It can be seen that this enables the students to obtain high quality notes without extensive writing.
