Concurrent design methodology for injection molded parts

Research output: Contribution to conference › Paper › peer-review

Abstract

The paper presents a simple design example to illustrate the ability to integrate rigorous design procedures and engineering empiricisms uniting the three domains of part, tool and process. Although presented as a continuum of technical activities, the approach is not predicated upon a single common data representation supports the multiple functionalities of the design team, allowing overlap of normally sequential designs of part, tool and process.
