Abstract
The chemistry of dialkyl trioxides ROOOR (where R is alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, or perfluoroalkyl) and their cyclic analogs - transannular ozonides and 1,2,3-trioxolanes (primary ozonides) - is surveyed. The synthesis, structure, thermal stability, and reactions of these compounds are discussed.
