Abstract
A discussion on exact free energy functional for a driven diffusive open stationary nonequilibrium system was presented. The one-dimensional asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP) on a lattice of L sites was considered. The results obtained the exact probability exp[-LF((ρ(x)))] of finding macroscopic density profile ρ(x) in the stationary nonequilibrium state of an open driven diffusive system.
