Abstract

Many researchers in various fields are interested in the mortality modeling. This paper discusses some recent research and methods in the area of aging and mortality modeling. The paper also presents a list of distribution functions and hazard rate functions that commonly used in the field and newly developed Matlab programs to calculate the mortality measures such as the force of mortality, life expectancy, mean residual life expectance and conditional reliability.
