A study of controlling quantum phenomena was performed. Quantum control refers to active intervention in a system's dynamics to maximize the probability that the system evolves toward a desired target state. Quantum systems subjected to control range from a single atom or molecule to the collective degrees of freedom, such as excitons and phonons, in solids.
