Abstract
This paper explains why poor performance undermines the power of the organization's leaders, but superior performance has a surprisingly weak impact on reinforcing that power. Integrating the research on performance feedback and organizational power, I show that dominant coalition's influence is limited both by anticipation as well as by satiation.
