The possible emergence of a hydrogen economy in future is discussed. The alternative visions of a hydrogen future, the extent to which society can manage this technological transition, key business and public policy issues and recommendations was also discussed. It is suggested that technological transition can happen with proper understanding of the issues and objectives that satisfy the needs of the organization and developing a set of strategic interventions that are likely to achieve the objective. It is also suggested that there should be proper planning for both state and federal roles in hydrogen policy formulation and implementation.
